1. About these terms

By creating an account or booking a session on CelticTradHub, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

2. What CelticTradHub is

CelticTradHub is a platform for live, online Irish traditional music slow sessions. Sessions are led by independent instructors and are intended to be a relaxed, low-pressure way to learn tunes alongside other musicians — not formal music lessons.

3. Age requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account and book sessions on CelticTradHub. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please give us accurate information when you sign up.

5. Booking and payment

• Sessions are typically booked as a "block" (e.g. a 4-week series) at the price shown at the time of booking, including any introductory or discounted pricing displayed on the session page.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking.
• All sales are final. We don't offer refunds for missed sessions. If you're unable to attend, contact us at hello@celtictradhub.com — we'll do our best to work out a credit toward a future session, but this is offered at our discretion, not guaranteed.
• We may occasionally offer discount codes or promotional pricing; these apply only as described at the time they're offered.

6. Cancellations by us

If we need to cancel a session (e.g. instructor illness, technical issues), we'll let you know as soon as possible and offer either a credit toward a future session or a refund.

7. Session conduct

To keep sessions welcoming for everyone, especially beginners, we ask that you:

• Treat the session leader and other participants with respect
• Keep your microphone muted unless invited to unmute
• Avoid disruptive, harassing, or abusive behavior during sessions or in any communication with us

We may suspend or terminate access to your account, without refund, if you violate these expectations.

8. Session Materials

The tunes taught in CelticTradHub sessions are traditional Irish music in the public domain (because they were written so long ago, no one holds exclusive rights to them) — we don't own them, so we're not in a position to restrict how they're shared. Sheet music and practice recordings are provided as part of your session block to support your own learning journey with the tunes.

9. No professional guarantee

CelticTradHub sessions are a community learning environment, not professional music instruction with guaranteed outcomes. We make no promises about specific skill results.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CelticTradHub and its instructors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the session(s) in question.

11. Third-party services

CelticTradHub relies on third-party services (Stripe, Firebase, LiveKit, Resend, Cloudflare) to operate. We aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by these providers, though we'll do our best to keep things running smoothly and communicate if something's affecting your session.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CelticTradHub after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
