Who we are

CelticTradHub ("CTH", "we", "us") is an online platform for live Irish traditional music slow sessions, operated by Christine, based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.

What information we collect

When you create an account, book a session, or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name and email address
• Instrument(s) you play and experience level
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
• Booking history and session attendance
• Messages you send us (e.g. through our contact page or applying to teach)

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process bookings and payments
• Send booking confirmations, session reminders, and related emails
• Run live video sessions you've booked into
• Respond to questions or support requests
• Improve the platform

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share information with

We work with a small number of service providers to run CTH, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Firebase / Google Cloud — account and booking data storage (data is stored in a Montreal, Canada data center)
• Resend — sending transactional emails (booking confirmations, etc.)
• LiveKit — powering live video sessions
• Cloudflare — website infrastructure and email routing

These providers only use your data to provide their service to us — they don't use it for their own purposes.

Video sessions

Live sessions are not recorded by CelticTradHub. Your microphone stays muted by default during sessions unless you choose to unmute or the session leader unmutes you at your request.

Age requirement

CelticTradHub is intended for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account and book sessions.

International visitors

CelticTradHub is based in Canada and our data is stored in Canada. If you're visiting from outside Canada, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
