From first tune to session player

Browse upcoming slow sessions and find one that fits your schedule. Every session is led by an experienced Irish trad musician.
Book your spot
Reserve your place online. Groups are kept small so everyone gets to play — not just listen.
Join the circle
Show up at session time with your instrument. Your session leader will guide the tunes at a comfortable pace. No pressure, no performance — just trad.
What to expect
This is not a music lesson
Irish trad has always been passed on by playing together. Our session leaders guide the group through a handful of tunes each week, keeping the tempo comfortable so everyone can follow along. You'll learn tunes, build confidence, and have a real reason to pick up your instrument every week.
Once a week for 4 weeks
A new set of tunes each block. After 4 weeks, you'll be able to confidently play a set of tunes at a moderate pace. Come back for more when you're ready.
Small groups only
Sessions are capped so it stays intimate. We want to support you on your Irish Trad journey and will always make time for questions and extra help at the end of the session.
All instruments welcome
Whistle, fiddle, concertina, flute, banjo — if it plays trad, it belongs.
Absolute beginners welcome
Never played in a session before? Good. That's exactly who this is for.
Play without the pressure
Your mic stays muted throughout. Only your session leader is heard. Follow along at your own pace — no one knows if you miss a note.
Learning by ear
Irish trad has always been passed down by ear — that's how we do it here too. Sheet music is available as a reference between sessions, but the tune is the teacher.
